Getting ready to leave tomorrow for the last great race on earth — the world
famous IDITAROD®. Anchorage will be very busy catering for the 35th
edition. The forecast is 18 to -20
without wind chill. 35,000
- 40,000 people show up from all over the world to watch and
participate in this awesome test of man and his trained athletes
competing over 1,180 miles of the roughest terrain in the world.
Our family of Rosanne, Brian and Angela will be very busy visiting
with customers, attending luncheons, banquets, filming, taking photos
and sending daily electronic updates — we will also have some time to
visit with the Seavey's and the Iditarod® trail committee staff. I will
take a 12 mile ride in the J. J. Keller sled on Saturday 3/3 and Dallas
starts the race for Nome on Sunday 3/4 — this is his 20th birthday.
The story will be told thru the photos, films and the commentary so stay tuned!
